Sleeve & Bower

A euchre-themed rogue-lite — trick-taking rebuilt as a run-based deckbuilder.

02 — The Friction

Euchre is a deep trick-taking game that has never really been given a modern, single-player-friendly treatment — most digital versions are straight ports of the tabletop rules with no progression, no build variety, and nothing to bring you back for another run.

04 — The Mechanics

Sleeve & Bower keeps euchre's trick-taking core — bowers, trump, going alone — and wraps it in a rogue-lite run structure: each run reshuffles the rules in your favor through unlockable cards, modifiers, and builds, so no two runs play the same.

05 — System Outputs
  • › Full euchre trick-taking core: bowers, trump calling, going alone
  • › Rogue-lite run structure with unlockable cards and modifiers
  • › Build variety run to run instead of one fixed rule set
  • › Designed for single-player replayability, not a tabletop port
